October {Swap}...halloween party

 For Swap in October we all thought it would be fun to dress up in costumes for Halloween. It was fun to see everyone's costumes... whether simple or more ornate... everyone was creative and cute! Lewaina hosted at her beautiful home and made some little apple pies in jars. They were really yummy! We swapped Halloween tucks... they all turned out really cute... mine was a mummy from Jessica... it was really cute and creative covered in cheese cloth. I had such a fun night out.

September {Swap}

Swap was so much fun this month. I am slow getting pictures on here, and I have missed a few months, so I put those pictures on here too. September Swap was at Jessica's house. She has such a cute house it is fun to see all her fun things. She made really yummy pumpkin cookies... I couldn't help but eat a few. I got Katie's tuck this month... it is so cute... I love how she uses such creative things to make her tucks. The pumpkins are made of plaid wool.... they are so cute. I just love swap!!!

This is my tuck from Laura for July's Swap. {that tells you how behind I am} She is so creative! She painted the flag and also painted a star on, but then everybody told her that she just had to do a punch-needle on it... because that was like her signature... so then she painted over the star and did a punch-needle star... either way it is perfect. 

I really enjoy {Swap} and the fun I have with all the Ladies there.

May {Swap}

This cute tuck is the one I got this month at Felicity's house. My Mom made it and it really turned out cute. I forgot to take a picture of the one I made. We had lots of fun visiting. We have gone back to making tucks and it is a challenge to come up with some new ideas so that we don't make the same ones that we made before. I also won the drawing which Katie made... a picture of the Eiffel Tower that she printed and ironed on... it turned out so cute. I also won the drawing that Felicity gave away... a patriotic table runner that she just didn't want any more {I will gladly take it}. I am excited for next month {except I have to figure out what to make for the drawing}.

 I have a wonderful friend, Savannah, who took pity on me and sent me a picture of the tuck I made. Aren't friends wonderful!

April {Swap}

Swap time again... it is so much fun! Mom was over swap this month. She decided that we would make Easter baskets... each bring 10 things... and put one in each basket. It was so fun. Even though we all decorated our baskets... each basket turned out different and so very cute. Then we put them on the table and drew a number to see what basket we got. I got Jessica's basket... I love it!... it is so cute and all the little goodies inside are so much fun. Jessica even added an extra thing of candy... my family loved it... Thanks Jessica. I had so much fun... I am so excited for next month.

Friendships are sewn one stitch at a time.

March {St Patricks Day} Swap

Our challenge this month for Swap was to make a St Patrick's Day door hanger for our front door and then bring them to show everyone what we did. I really really wish I would have remembered my camera because there were so many different cute things that everyone made. It was so fun to go and visit at Angie's house... the food was soooo yummy and went right along with St Patrick's day. I was sad I didn't win any of the drawings there were some really fun tucks, word blocks, and a frame with the words LUCKY. I had a great time... it always makes me excited for next time.

Crafts are a great way to express yourself.

January {sWap} at Felicity's house

This month we met at Felicity's house and made these really cute wooden snowmen that her very talented Husband cut out for us. We had a lot of fun visiting while we painted and glued our snowmen together. Each one turned out different and very cute. I love them all!!! It was sooooo much fun...

This cute little turkey is Felicity's... a few years ago she had kits for the Relief Society Women to make their own.... unfortunately I never got mine put together... so Savannah {being the sweetheart that she is} took pictures for me so that I could see how to put mine together, since I am so forgetful and didn't bring my camera. THANKS SO MUCH SAVANNAH!!

November {Swap}

I love swap!

This month it was at Katie's house and she taught us how to make slippers with fabric flowers on the toes. They are so cute. I haven't finished mine yet... my sewing machine is being borrowed... but when I get it back I will sew mine up. It was such a fun night. 

This picture is of the drawing that I brought. It was my turn so I made the Christmas tree but it didn't quite turn out how I thought it would. The turkey I made a long time ago and couldn't find my pattern so I just gave it away, and the jar and wire picture stands I made for Trina's Bridal Shower but that is over so I decided to give them away too. Kim won the drawing and I hope she likes this stuff. 

I can't wait for the next swap which isn't till January, I think it is Felicity's turn.

October {Swap} 2011

October was Jessica's turn for swap. I was so excited because I had missed it before when it was at her house so this time I was able to go and see her cute house and make a cute banner {or bunting I guess they are called} I had lots of fun... this project was so easy and very cute... I love projects that we can finish in one night... and she had lots of yummy goodies for us to eat {pumpkin cup cakes, chocolate dipped raspberries, chips, crackers and dip}. I even won the drawing Katie had made... I got these cute wreaths, earings, and some chapstick... so very cute, I love it... she is so creative. It was a great night and one I always look forward to.

Picture Frames {August Swap}

My frames are done!

I was so excited when I hung my new frames up the other day. They are done and they turned out soooo cute, I love them.

now I am going to have to make some more, lol.

September {Swap}

 I have so much fun at swap!!! I am finally getting this post done... 2 weeks late. No-sew-pumpkins is what we made this month at Savannah's house and {I love them!} They were so fun and easy to make. I wish I would have taken my camera and got pictures of everyone's pumpkins... they all turned out different and soooo cute! Savannah has a cute house full of cute decorations she has made and she fed us yummy pumpkin treats... pumpkin bread, jello pumpkins, and some lemon cider... it was all so delicious. Thanks Savannah for such a fun night!!! and I always look forward to next time...

August {Swap}

I have been really slow catching up with everything!... I hosted swap in August and I had so much fun... but I always do! I chose to make frames for my turn and everyone brought such cute trim to make their frames. I helped cut out the frames {and hopefully I was a good teacher and taught them how to cut the frames so they can make some more later} It was to late to put the frames together so everyone decided to take them home to finish them and we headed in to have brownies with cream & strawberries. I challenged all the Ladies to have their frames done by the October Swap to show everyone. I am still working on my frames... I am making 4... one for each of our children and I am getting close to having them finished. I will take a picture when I get them all finished.

July {sWap}

We haven't had swap for a few months... so I was so excited to go the other night. Tuesday night we all gathered at Lewaina's house for lots of fun. It is nice to get out and visit these wonderful ladies. We finished a year of "tucks" in May... so now we are trying different things each month... and I am really excited to learn lots of new things from such talented people. Lewaina had us make these cute stars... we learned how to iron the material on some freezer paper and run it through the printer to get something printed on the front... and since it was the 4th of July she had phrases like... We the people... One Nation Under God... Freedom... Land that I Love...  they turned out soooo cute and Laura brought us each a spring... awsome! I didn't get mine done there... but I brought it home and finished it. I love how it turned out... I think I might buy some more pip berries to wrap around the star. Next month is my turn to host swap... we will be learning how to make picture frames... and I hope that they turn out as good as these stars did...

aPril sWap

 I was so excited for swap... 

we haven't had it for a couple months. 

We all gathered at Felicity's cute home

and had lots of good laughs.

I made these seed packages...

one for my spring tuck and one for me.

This egg tuck did not turn out like I thought it would!

I wanted to do something to do with Christ

and also Easter eggs...

but I just don't like the way it turned out...

oh well, I guess.

The word tuck is from Kim and it is soooo creative...

I love all the different words and stitching on it.

Lewaina gave us some patterns for carrots and for wrapped eggs...

I am excited to make some.

I it was such a fun night...

I am looking forward to our new plans 

of doing something different each month...

I am sad that I won't be able to come in May.

But I will be there in June.
