The long awaited Wedding...

These are the dresses and ties I made, and I was thrilled they turned out so good and glad that the kids kept them on all day without complaint. What cute kids!

It was a great day. The night before many people spent hours decorating {including Gary & Lewaina} and it turned out soooo nice. Lewaina always does an amazing job decorating. It was rustic and was kind of a fall harvest feel. Everything turned out perfect! I had so much fun being a part of the decorating and helping, though it is a lot of work.

Temple marriages are always so special and Josh & Trina's was the same... afterward everyone survived the pictures in the cold... the exchanging of rings turned out good... the dinner was delicious {thankfully we had enough seats for everyone, with only the six tables}... the reception was nice {quite a few people came}... the refreshments were soooo yummy dipped in the chocolate fountain ... and the dancing was fun, yet exhausting. It was a great day and one that is good to have over. Our kids were really good to keep their dresses and ties on the whole day and not complain and they were soooo cute. I was glad I took the time to make the dresses and ties, even though it was a lot of work for one day.  It is always fun to get together with family!

Trina's sister, Tanya, and friends, Ammon & Jennifer were able to come down from Canada for the Wedding... it was fun to meet them and have them there. They were a huge help with everything, including the kids. Hopefully they can come again soon. 

I hope Josh & Trina the best in all the years to come! Congratulations!

{Family Home Evening} Chart

I have been playing with the idea of making a FHE chart out of wood... there are so many cute charts that people have made, but I am not very good at remembering to move all the little pieces around one the charts with the nails and names that hang on them so I needed one that I could just move one thing instead of six... so this flower is what I came up with. Like everything else in our house it has to be durable and all I have to do is turn the middle of the flower and it moves everyone where they need to be. It turned out so cute I am really excited... we used it last week and we will use it again tonight. I love my family!

Children are challenging! Just when you think that you have a good routine and everything is going good then they change and you have to start all over. Darby used to take regular naps... but just like her siblings at about 15months all that changes and they don't think they need naps anymore... but they get so tired that they have to sleep sometime... Darby was sitting at the table eating her lunch when I look over there and she is fast asleep, lol. These are the precious moments. Enjoy...

Snow Snow Snow

We got our first snow storm of the season and thankfully it only left about an inch... but the girls couldn't wait to get outside and play in it. It is magical when the snow falls. I am grateful it all melted though, I really don't want a long winter.

November {Swap}

I love swap!

This month it was at Katie's house and she taught us how to make slippers with fabric flowers on the toes. They are so cute. I haven't finished mine yet... my sewing machine is being borrowed... but when I get it back I will sew mine up. It was such a fun night. 

This picture is of the drawing that I brought. It was my turn so I made the Christmas tree but it didn't quite turn out how I thought it would. The turkey I made a long time ago and couldn't find my pattern so I just gave it away, and the jar and wire picture stands I made for Trina's Bridal Shower but that is over so I decided to give them away too. Kim won the drawing and I hope she likes this stuff. 

I can't wait for the next swap which isn't till January, I think it is Felicity's turn.

Happy {Halloween}

Happy Halloween everyone! As you can see we had a fun Halloween. The kids dressed in their costumes and we went up to the park for the annual Trunker Treat. They always get way too much candy. Clayton is a vampire, Sadie and Darby are witches, and Wyatt is a skeleton. Grandma's costume was great... she was so scary... and Shantay wore the wolf costume. I love Halloween it is such a fun kids holiday. But I think my boys favorite part was lighting fireworks in their pumpkins and blowing up their pumpkins with firecrackers. We had a great time.
