Mitchell-Lind Reunion

On the way back home from Bridger, on Sunday, we stopped at Flaming Gorge for another reunion. This reunion was with Grandma Hansen's family. Since we were pulling out camper we had to find a place to park it for the night. We drove around to a few places... this one with a view, but finally decided just to park it off the road out of the way so we wouldn't have to pay for the night.

Sunday we met up with everyone after we got the camper settled. The kids and Dads played some baseball while we waited for our dinner reservation at the Flaming Gorge Lodge. It is fun getting together with everyone for dinner... but it is also hard to visit with everybody while your trying to eat. After dinner we headed back to the camper for the night.

Monday was exciting. After eating breakfast we all drove to Dutch John and gathered together so we could be shuttled to the river. It was our annual trip down the Green River with Uncle Andy's family and Darby's first time going... I hadn't been in a few years so I was excited. I was a little nervous to see how Darby would like it, but she loved it the whole way {she was as content as she could be} Willy, Darby, Clayton and I shared a raft... the other kids were in other rafts... we had a great time. At first we were in the lead, but we just kept going from the front to the back, then to the front again. The weather was perfect! I expected it to be cold, but it was just right for a t-shirt and we missed the rain so that was nice. Wyatt jumped in with Gabe and Taylor so they were cold, and the other kids got wet when we got to the end but they had a good time.

Then it was time to go home. It would have been nice to be able to stay longer, but we had to get the kids home and finish homework since the kids had school the next day. It was great getting to see all of the families. I hope they keep doing this reunion each year. They were talking about going up to Yellowstone next year... and that would be lots of fun too. The last time we went there was when Sadie was 2, so it has been a while. It is a good thing we have reunions so we get out and see everybody.

Hansen Family Reuion... Bear Lake

 As soon as the wedding dinner was finished for Bailee & Caleb we headed off to our reunion at Bear Lake. It was a very busy weekend... driving from one end of Utah to the other almost, but it was well worth it.

At Bear Lake we went up into Idaho where there was an ice cave not for from the lake. I never knew that there could still be ice in July only 50 ft underground. It was very slippery... a few people fell down and got scraped. The kids loved climbing and hiking all over the place.

 Each night we all met at the church for dinner and some fun. One night there was even a talent show for those who wanted to share. On one table they had some old hats and dress up things for anyone who wanted to dress up for pictures. The kids had fun putting different things on... we had a good laugh and they looked so cute. Even the guys had a turn dressing up.

 For one of the games the kids competed against the men... but the men had to wear some old fashioned glasses... which took away their advantage. Don't they look so cute...lol?!

 Each team had to bounce the ping pong balls across the table and into one of the cups. Which ever team got the most won. It was fun.

 The kids love bubbles. I think that every Hansen family reunion I have been to, there have been some sort of bubbles... they are a classic.

It was a crazy, busy, fun weekend.

Paul & Yvonne Bird Family Reunion

 We love our Grandpa and Grandma.

 We couldn't have a family reunion and not play cards.

 Uncle Bennie has met his match.

 Uncle David brought out his 2 potato guns. The kids loved them. Clayton told me he wanted to save his money so he could buy an igniter so he could make a potato gun.

 Mom came up with a new game... toss the ring on the object you want... the kids had fun throwing it... even the grownups.

 There was even a jump rope competition

 Willy had to try out the potato guns too.

 Grandma's brothers Uncle Woody and Uncle Mel & Aunt Donnie come to visit too. It is so fun to get to see them.

 Then on to the saw dust game.

 It is fun to get something from the cake walk.

the last {James I Bird} family reunion

The reunion was held at the Bluebell park this year instead of Moon Lake because of some construction. They are supposed to be building a boat ramp up there this year. It was fun going up there to visit with some family we see all the time... and other family we only get to see at this reunion. It will be sad that we won't get to see them yearly any more.

 The kids had lots of fun spending 3 solid days of play at the park.

Caleb & Bailee were good sports playing with the kids.

 There weren't as many this year as there usually are... probably because it wasn't at Moon Lake, but we had fun anyway.

 There was the usual saw dust game...

 ... for young and old, alike.

 I got some of Aunt Debbie & Uncle Jerry's family but not as many as I wanted to.

 Our kids had lots of fun with the bubbles.

 Darby had fun feeding candies to Jaiden. It was really cute.

Its too bad this has to be our last.
