January {sWap} at Felicity's house

This month we met at Felicity's house and made these really cute wooden snowmen that her very talented Husband cut out for us. We had a lot of fun visiting while we painted and glued our snowmen together. Each one turned out different and very cute. I love them all!!! It was sooooo much fun...

This cute little turkey is Felicity's... a few years ago she had kits for the Relief Society Women to make their own.... unfortunately I never got mine put together... so Savannah {being the sweetheart that she is} took pictures for me so that I could see how to put mine together, since I am so forgetful and didn't bring my camera. THANKS SO MUCH SAVANNAH!!

Two Thousand Twelve...

 

Each year I like to make new cards to hang on the fridge. One is our Family Goals, personal and family related, that we want to work on for the year... and the other is a card for Primary that tells the yearly theme, Presidency phone #'s and each of the kids' class, primary teacher and phone #'s. They are easy access for when I have to call someone.

I like setting and completing goals!

Happy 50th Birthday, DAD

We had a big surprise birthday party for Dad, it was his 50th birthday. There were probably 30 or more people hiding in our house when we called Dad to come over because we needed his help and when he came through the door we all yelled SURPRISE. It really did surprise him... he said that we almost gave him a heart attack. Bailey brought the cake... it was awsome... look at that forest fire on top... and it tasted really good too. It was a really fun night. I love surprises. We hope Dad had a great birthday.

Merry CHRISTmas

Christmas morning is fun when you are a kid. Wyatt was the first one awake at about 5 o'clock. He came in to wake us up but we told him to go back to bed for a while. I think he only went back to bed for 5 minutes and was back in our bedroom trying to wake us up. We didn't get up so he woke up Clayton and then Darby woke up. We told them they could play with the stuff in their stockings until we got up. Sadie finally woke up about 7 o'clock so then we decided it was time to get up.

Before we open presents we talk about Jesus and his birth, again for the hundredth time, so they will remember why we celebrate Christmas and its importance, but I think that it is still lost in all the wrapping paper. I hope they get it.

The kids all got fun toys and we had a great time as family.

This year Christmas was on Sunday and we had the early time (8:30). Then as every year before we all gathered at Grandma & Grandpa Birds for Breakfast (brunch for this year). We ate our traditional waffles and Keesh. It is enjoyable to visit and just enjoy the day.

 After breakfast we watched Grandpa & Grandma open their presents. It was sooo cute when Grandma opened her present from Grandpa ... he made a picture of a rainbow and a question that said "what do you find at the end of a rainbow?"... it was a small bucket full of real gold dollars. She was so surprised. They are so sweet. I love to watch the care they take with each other.

 It is fun to joke around a little. A few years ago we had Shantays name... Willy is very practical and she said that he would probably just buy her some underwear, so as a joke that is what we got her to go along with her other present. This year Shantay had our family and it was funny when Willy opened his present and there was a pair of Superman underwear... it was hilarious... we all had a good laugh. I also got underwear... mine were cute leopard underwear... the kids weren't as lucky, they got a game and a movie, lol. 

 Santa brought the boys rockets. So later that day they were outside shooting off their rockets to see how high they could get them to go. I took some pretty good pictures of them jumping... with my new camera.

I love my family. We are so very blessed. We have so much to be thankful for and I am extremely grateful for our family and all that Christ has done for me. We wish you a Merry Christmas all year long.
