Girls Weekend

The anticipation was almost too much to bare. I look forward to this weekend all year long. It is so much fun having a weekend out with my Mom and Sisters... and this year I have two new Sisters to have fun with too, but Trina decided not to come.

 The drive out was beautiful. This is the first time we went out in September... the weather was so nice and mild... not too hot.

 Everything was magnificent.

 When we got to the hotel and went into our room... we were blown away. Usually we just get a regular room with two beds... this year we got a suite, but weren't quite expecting this. It was great! There was so much more room and surprise we had a kitchen, NICE!

 Friday night we ate at a Texas Roadhouse... it was sooooo good! Too much food! Then we did a little shopping and went to the Movies {The Bourne Legacy}. When we got back to our room we stayed up until 2 in the morning talking and having fun.

 Saturday is always our big day of shopping. The maternity store was fun. Don't we have the cutest pregnant women, lol!

 Hats are so much fun!

We can't go home without ice cream. It was such a fun weekend.

door panel... to... coat hook

I have been wanting to build a coat hook for the outside of our house... just to hang {outside} stuff on it. I bought some hooks and I was just going to use a regular board... but then I was in the back yard and saw my old door that was falling apart... so I took the door apart and decided to use one of the long panels off the door to hang the hooks on. It turned out perfect, but I don't think I like the different colored hooks... so I think they are all going to have a paint job and all be white or all be brown?! It is working perfectly for our stuff outside!

September {Swap}

Swap was so much fun this month. I am slow getting pictures on here, and I have missed a few months, so I put those pictures on here too. September Swap was at Jessica's house. She has such a cute house it is fun to see all her fun things. She made really yummy pumpkin cookies... I couldn't help but eat a few. I got Katie's tuck this month... it is so cute... I love how she uses such creative things to make her tucks. The pumpkins are made of plaid wool.... they are so cute. I just love swap!!!

This is my tuck from Laura for July's Swap. {that tells you how behind I am} She is so creative! She painted the flag and also painted a star on, but then everybody told her that she just had to do a punch-needle on it... because that was like her signature... so then she painted over the star and did a punch-needle star... either way it is perfect. 

I really enjoy {Swap} and the fun I have with all the Ladies there.

Cuties on Wheels

Our kids love to ride anything with wheels... and they are getting really good at it. Sadie is learning how to drive the four-wheeler... it is funny to watch them.

School is back in session...

Summer is over and school has started again. The boys are kind of excited, and this is Sadie's first year so she is in for a new experience but she is really excited and loves Kindergarten. I am glad there is school because I don't have the patience to teach my kids all that they need to learn. I am really grateful for their teachers, who spend lots of time to teach them. It takes a village to raise a child... so very true. I hope my children have a wonderful school year.

Mitchell-Lind Reunion

On the way back home from Bridger, on Sunday, we stopped at Flaming Gorge for another reunion. This reunion was with Grandma Hansen's family. Since we were pulling out camper we had to find a place to park it for the night. We drove around to a few places... this one with a view, but finally decided just to park it off the road out of the way so we wouldn't have to pay for the night.

Sunday we met up with everyone after we got the camper settled. The kids and Dads played some baseball while we waited for our dinner reservation at the Flaming Gorge Lodge. It is fun getting together with everyone for dinner... but it is also hard to visit with everybody while your trying to eat. After dinner we headed back to the camper for the night.

Monday was exciting. After eating breakfast we all drove to Dutch John and gathered together so we could be shuttled to the river. It was our annual trip down the Green River with Uncle Andy's family and Darby's first time going... I hadn't been in a few years so I was excited. I was a little nervous to see how Darby would like it, but she loved it the whole way {she was as content as she could be} Willy, Darby, Clayton and I shared a raft... the other kids were in other rafts... we had a great time. At first we were in the lead, but we just kept going from the front to the back, then to the front again. The weather was perfect! I expected it to be cold, but it was just right for a t-shirt and we missed the rain so that was nice. Wyatt jumped in with Gabe and Taylor so they were cold, and the other kids got wet when we got to the end but they had a good time.

Then it was time to go home. It would have been nice to be able to stay longer, but we had to get the kids home and finish homework since the kids had school the next day. It was great getting to see all of the families. I hope they keep doing this reunion each year. They were talking about going up to Yellowstone next year... and that would be lots of fun too. The last time we went there was when Sadie was 2, so it has been a while. It is a good thing we have reunions so we get out and see everybody.
