Tea Party Time

 The girls and I were very excited when we got an invitation to a Tea Party at Daisy and Coralee's house. We have tea parties at our house with the three of us, but now we got to go have a tea party with some other girls too. Sadie and Darby had a hard time waiting the couple of days until the party. Finally the day came... we got all dressed up... and arrived at Daisy and Coralee's house.

 Daisy, Coralee, and Lisa were all dressed up as well. They had also decorated their house all up for the Tea Party. It was so much fun. We visited for a few minutes until they decided that no one else was coming then we started with the appetizers. Lisa was so fun explaining everything to the girls. We talked as we ate very slowly and took really small bites. Besides the appetizers {fruits and vegetables}, we ate small sandwiches, then desserts and topped that all off with some tea {pink lemonade}.

The girls all talked, giggled and had lots of fun... especially when it came to calling for the Butler {Daisy and Coralee's dad Cory}. Lisa taught them to clap twice when they needed more food, drink or something cleaned up... Cory was such a good sport. Lisa later told me that Daisy and Coralee had asked him themselves to be their butler at their tea part.

We had so much fun... and every day since then, Darby asks me if we are going to a Tea party, lol. We will have to have another one again soon.

Old Pants... New Shorts

I saw this cute idea on another site... and I thought they were really cute. Of course it wouldn't work for the boys, but when Sadie finally wore out her jeans {she has four pair with holes} I decided it was time to make her some cute shorts. Sadie picked out the ribbon she wanted and I sewed it on the bottom. The only bad thing is they like to fold up with the ribbon on the bottom. Sadie really liked them and so did Darby... Darby was so upset because I wouldn't cut her pants off and sew ribbon on hers. They really give me a good laugh some days.

We have the cutest girls. They can play really nice at times and they can fight really bad the rest of the time. Darby & I will really miss Sadie next year when she goes to school.

Fun, with Becca... and the Boys!

 Becca and the boys came out to visit last week while Jake was in California on a business trip. It is so fun when they come to visit. We have lots of playtime. Taylor and James brought their fishing poles... so we all went up to Grandpa's pond to fish... the kids love it every time. Darby even fished and caught a big dry land sucker {Clayton}.

 Shantay wanted new pictures... she asked Rebecca to take her pictures... and I tagged along and took some to... it was our own personal photo shoot in Grandma & Grandpa Birds yard.  It was so fun hanging out with my sisters... they are both so wonderful. I can't believe Shantay is going to be a junior this year... crazy! I had so much fun taking pictures of Shantay with Rebecca... I wish I could be a photographer.

{Girls} wEEkEnd

 

 I look forward to this weekend all year long. It is one of the few breaks I get from cooking... cleaning... and all that other fun stuff. We had a fun, fun, fun weekend... but it didn't last long enough! We entertained ourselves by shopping, eating, laughing, foot messages {thanks to Grandpa's machine}, movies, jamba juice, late night talk, more shopping, ice cream and more.  It was great!!! There is nothing quite like mom&sisters... and I can't wait till next year, lol. Rebecca brought baby Keaton and we all took turns holding him... it was fun... he is so cute... and he was such a good sport about the whole thing. We all got some really cute clothes... I can't wait to wear mine. After Rebecca had to go home, we stopped at the Quilted Bear where we found so many fun things... but I was good and didn't buy anything. Mom wants to buy or make the family sign for Dad... you can slide pictures in and out, it is really nice. I would love to have one of these chairs on my front porch... maybe one day I will have to build one.

Next year we should go for three days...

getting ready for... TREK

Every 4 years our stake YW/YM have the opportunity to go up to Wyoming and trek to Martins Cove, where the pioneers trekked... and this was their year. Shantay come over and asked if I would help get a couple things ready. We took her skirt in... because it was too big around... and put her name on her water bottle with vinyl. It worked really good... I love my cricut and surecutsalot!
