Happy Easter

I love to celebrate holidays with my family. Here is my Easter bunny. He turned out better than I thought he would. The kids asked me if the Easter bunny was real... (they are so funny) and I told them "of course."

We had a fun Easter. Friday the kids dyed Easter eggs... Saturday we went fishing on the Green River for cat fish (but didn't catch any), hunted for Easter eggs, raced our Easter eggs down the shooting hill, and had a BBQ at Great Grandma & Grandpa Birds... Sunday was a peaceful day, the kids got their Easter buckets and played outside. I am so grateful for our Savior and the atonement.

The kids had fun and got not too much, but just enough candy to make them happy. Grandma, Grandpa & Shantay came over to watch the sillyness... and brought some eggs for the kids... they are such good sports. I was going to make deviled eggs out of the real ones, but the kids ended up eating some and throwing the rest at each other. What a bunch of "hoodlums"...

Willy was so cute with Darby. He found her a bucket so she could hunt for Easter eggs. He helped her crawl around in the grass and put the candy in her bucket. What a good Daddy!

I made these little cards for our kid's Easter buckets.

They fit perfect in the plastic tag covers.

I hope they will put them in their scriptures and take 

them to church to look at during Sacrament meeting.

while Darby was sick and I just held her the whole time.

A weekend with Grandma & Grandpa Hansen

Friday night we drove out to spend the weekend at Grandma & Grandpa's. Saturday was beautiful and warm so we spent most of the day outside. I went with Grandma, Aunt Leann, Katie, Melissa and Michelle up to Jodi's moms house for her baby shower. It was fun and she got lots of cute things for her {almost arrived} baby girl. No matter how nice it was outside I kept having to chase the boys outside. We ate lunch outside and we were going to have dinner outside but it got too late. The kids dyed Easter eggs and then found them where they were hid around Grandma's house, but they couldn't eat them because they had been left out all day so they threw them at each other instead. Willy joined in the fun when they started throwing pine cones. Sadie just tried staying out of the way. Darby loved playing in the grass and eating everything she could find...she got her first sunburn a little on her head, cheeks, and ears. Sunday we came home with a load of compost and tires for our new truck. It was a good weekend.

 I was so excited for swap... 

we haven't had it for a couple months. 

We all gathered at Felicity's cute home

and had lots of good laughs.

I made these seed packages...

one for my spring tuck and one for me.

This egg tuck did not turn out like I thought it would!

I wanted to do something to do with Christ

and also Easter eggs...

but I just don't like the way it turned out...

oh well, I guess.

I absolutely love the tucks I got!!!

I never thought about doing a chick.

The word tuck is from Kim and it is soooo creative...

I love all the different words and stitching on it.

Lewaina gave us some patterns for carrots and for wrapped eggs...

I am excited to make some.

I it was such a fun night...

I am looking forward to our new plans 

of doing something different each month...

I am sad that I won't be able to come in May.

But I will be there in June.

{Family Home Evening} Fishing

The weather has finally been nice enough to go fishing, so we hauled everyone up to Grandpa's pond the other night so they could go fishing. Willy bought all the kids fishing vests and they have been asking non-stop when they could go fishing. It was a little cool but no w.i.n.d. so it was nice. We were only up there for an hour and had really good luck. Willy caught 1, Wyatt caught 2, and Sadie caught 1 all by herself with a little help from Daddy to help reel it in. They all had lots of fun and got so excited. We will have to go again soon.

Muscle Man

Our little man is feeling better. The other night I walked past the bathroom and he was standing over the vent while it was blowing up his pajamas making him look all big. You can't tell in the picture very good, but it was really funny. We all had a good laugh. I love these little moments.

Utility Room Make-over

 I finally re-did the utility room.
It has been a long awaited and very dreaded project 

that I have been wanting to do since we moved in here.

I was going to take before pictures

but I forgot. 

(it had the white linoleum that showed everything, even the stains)

I painted the walls and put down new linoleum squares...

And I even cleaned it out some.

I like it much better. 

I don't think I ever want to paint it again...

it was a pain, with all the shelves and corners.

I can now check one more thing off my "to do" list.

Clayton and the flying trampoline

We had a huge scare yesterday. Clayton and Sadie were out playing on the trampoline... I was in the house working on stuff. The wind was blowing a little and I heard something hit the house... I thought it was our swamp cooler falling off the roof so I ran outside and had a panic attack. The trampoline was upside down next to our house... Sadie was standing by the porch screaming... I asked her where Clayton was and then I saw him crawling out from under the trampoline. I grabbed him... laid him on the ground while asking him where he was hurt... he had scratches and bumps on his head... he wouldn't talk to me so I ran in the house and called 911. The ambulance came and picked him up. The nurse there was from Altamont and said she would take Darby so that I could get down to the hospital. (I love this community!!)

Sadie and I drove down and met Willy, Grandma and Grandpa in the ER at the hospital. By the time we got there the doctor had checked him out and said that he looked okay but they wanted a CAT scan to make sure his head was okay. He held really still for the CAT scan... made the nurses laugh... and was very happy to be going home. Cassie was his nurse and she did such a good job taking care of him. It makes me feel better when there is someone that we know there. Besides his scrapes and bruises Clayton had a concussion with a little swelling inside his head, we had to keep a watch on him for 24 hrs but he could go home. It felt good to finally get home with all of our children.

Later Sadie told us that the trampoline flew up, flipped over, hit the house and then fell on the ground while Clayton was on it. She had climbed off to do something else. (Thankfully she wasn't right there beside him, or in worse shape) Willy had to measure to see how far the trampoline flew... it was about 35 feet from where the trampoline was to the house... SCARY!!! I am so very thankful that Clayton is okay except for the bruises and scrapes. It could have been so much worse. I know Heavenly Father blesses our lives and watches over us.

Clayton is very ready to go back to school!! After one day at home, he is tired of not being able to do anything... lol
