You were caught being GOOD...

I saw these on the computer a while ago... another lady had made this for her kids. I thought it was such a good idea to help us focus on all the good things that our kids do... and it is really working. We are noticing more the great things that they do without being asked... they are more thoughtful of other people and doing more good deeds. Its great!

This is Willy's new toy... for this month. We traded one of our boats for it. THE KIDS LOVE IT!... and so does Willy. He counted up how many vehicles we have had overall:

4 jeeps

2 Chevy trucks

3 Suburbans

1 Tahoe

1 Expedition

3 cars

1 Explorer

7 Ford trucks

2 Dodge vans

3 Dodge trucks

4 boats

4 four-wheelers

1 Snowmobile

3 horse trailers

6 campers

This is nuts! And more than likely this list will at least double or triple in our life times. I think Willy likes this too much.

Easter Blessings

We had a great Easter weekend. The weather was pretty nice and the kids were not sick, so it was great. We made some fun decorations, colored eggs and had an Easter egg hunt, ate good food visited with family, and most importantly... talked about Christ. What better way to spend a holiday?!

 I saw a tree like these on the computer and it looked so cute. The girls and I decided to make some Easter trees {the big difference is... the tree on the computer was blossoming and was really pretty... and ours are pretty bare... but they look cute anyway}

 I couldn't help myself when I saw these flowers... they just look so springy.

 The kids have so much fun coloring eggs... Darby even enjoyed herself with some plastic eggs and a glass of water.

 The kids finally talked us into getting some chicks and ducks. Baby animals are the cutest little things.

 This is my cute basket I got at Swap.

 My Grandma & Grandpa made this for me when I was young. I love heirlooms like this... and it holds my eggs perfectly.

 My Grandparents also made this little bunny for me... it holds jellybeans in the tummy. My Grandparents are very talented.

 After our egg hunt we took our eggs to the shooting hill where we raced them down to the bottom... this tradition is from when I was a kid and we used to go down by Aunt Rae's... it was really sandy there too and we would race our eggs down the hill... It is lots of fun for the kids.

 

Try to instill into the hearts of the children the spirit of truth and an abiding love for the Gospel, that they may not only do their duty because it is pleasing to their parents, but because it is pleasing also to themselves.

April {Swap}

Swap time again... it is so much fun! Mom was over swap this month. She decided that we would make Easter baskets... each bring 10 things... and put one in each basket. It was so fun. Even though we all decorated our baskets... each basket turned out different and so very cute. Then we put them on the table and drew a number to see what basket we got. I got Jessica's basket... I love it!... it is so cute and all the little goodies inside are so much fun. Jessica even added an extra thing of candy... my family loved it... Thanks Jessica. I had so much fun... I am so excited for next month.

Friendships are sewn one stitch at a time.
